How remembrance works

  • Mark the pet as remembered once, when you add them or on their page. All three keepsakes follow it.
  • The story book is written in remembrance: about the days you had, in the past tense, and with their name.
  • The tale comes from the ones that suit a remembered pet, and its last lines are rewritten for them.
  • Stickers keep every face, but the ones named for begging, like "Snack Time?", get gentler names.
  • Our e-mails about them are worded for remembrance too.

For someone who is grieving

A pet pass arrives as a paper envelope with your note, by e-mail on the day you choose, or as a card you hand over yourself.

Nothing is made until they open it, and it never expires, so they can add a photo when they feel ready. Any clear photo of their pet works, however old.

Will it feel sad?

It is written to be warm rather than sad: a story of the days you had together, with their name in it.

Can I use an old photo?

Yes. One pet in the picture with the face visible works best. If a photo will not work, we say so before anything is made.

Is it a physical gift?

No, it is all digital. The story book is made to be printed at home or at a print shop, and the film saves to a phone.

Is it only for cats and dogs?

For now, yes.
