An adventure story where your pet is the hero

A kismetPaws tale is an illustrated, interactive story you read on your phone, where your own cat or dog is the traveler. You draw a card, it opens a tale, and your pet is drawn into its pictures from one photo, in the tale's own style. It comes with every $34.99 pet, along with a story book and sixteen stickers.

$34.99 per pet, everything included. A second pet is $16.99.

How a tale works

  1. Draw a card. Five cards lie face down. Think of your pet for a moment, then choose the one that calls to you. It takes about a minute.
  2. We draw your pet in. From your photo, your pet is redrawn in the tale's style, in every pose the hero takes. This usually takes 5 to 20 minutes.
  3. Read, tap, listen. The tale is read on a phone, a page at a time, with its own music and small things to do along the way.
  4. Keep the ending. The last page is a keepsake card with your pet drawn on it and your names written in, saved as a picture.

What stays the same, what is theirs

The words, the music and the world of each tale stay the same for everyone. What changes is the traveler: it is your pet, with their own colours and markings, on the road.

Used the wrong photo? You can have your pet drawn again once.

Questions people ask

Is it a game?

It is a story first. You read it page by page and do small things along the way, like turning a page or pulling a rope, but there is nothing to win or lose.

Is it for children?

It is written for anyone who loves their pet, and gentle enough to read with children.

Does my pet's name appear?

In the tale your pet is the traveler. The names go on the keepsake card at the end, where you write them in.

Cats and dogs only?

For now, yes.

Can I give it as a gift?

Yes. A pet pass costs $34.99, never expires, and includes the tale, the story book and the stickers for the friend's own pet.
