Where the signs meet the old calendar
Every star sign begins on one of the 24 seasons of the traditional Chinese calendar: Aries on the Spring Equinox, Leo on Peak Summer Heat, Capricorn on the Winter Solstice. Both follow the sun along the same path through the year, so the dates line up.
And the birthday story?
A kismetPaws birthday story doesn't read star signs. It reads the birthday through the traditional Chinese calendar, with five little roles, one for each of the five elements, drawn as your pet.
Their birthday, their own story book
A book about the day they were born, a little film, a tale and sixteen stickers, from one photo. $34.99 per pet.
Questions people ask
Are star signs serious?
No. This page is just for fun, and so are the five elements in the story book. No sign makes a pet better or worse.
Will the story book call my pet a Leo?
No. The book reads the birthday through the traditional Chinese calendar instead, so star signs don't appear in it.
My pet was born on the cusp
The day a sign begins moves by a day from year to year. If the birthday sits right on the line, read both signs and keep whichever habit fits.
We don't know their birthday
Plenty of pets don't. A story can start from the day they came home, or the day you met, instead.
